3D Construction Point > Distance along Edge (3D Menu)

This command can be used to create a 3D construction point at a given distance from a perpendicular point along an edge. A construction point behaves like a marking in 3D space.

Any component edge or construction line can be identified as the edge by clicking near to it.

Any component corner can be identified as the starting point of the perpendicular by clicking near to it.

After identifying the point, a dialog appears where the distance can be entered.
