3D Blocks > Create (3D Menu)

www.CAD6.com

This command can be used to create a 3D block, i.e. a named collection of 3D parts that shall be used as unit.

1.Choose 3D parts

The 3D parts to be combined into one 3D part must be chosen.

2.Identify 3D reference point

Any component corner can be identified as the reference point by clicking near to it. The reference point will be used as insertion point when creating an instance later on.

After entering the reference point, a "Create Block" dialog appears in which you determine the block's name and the library to which the block shall be added.

3D blocks can added to any changeable library. Libraries can contain both 2D and 3D block concurrently, and 3D blocks can be inserted either as 3D or 2D blocks. Pure 2D blocks, however, cannot be used in 3D instances, they will then appear empty.
