Notch Corner > One Corner (Trim Menu)

www.CAD6.com

This command can be used to notch a corner within a curve or surface. Only corners consisting of two lines can be notched.

1.Enter parameters

After choosing the command, the "Notch Corner" dialog appears, in which the notching parameters to be used can be entered.

2.Identify curve / surface

The position at which the object was identified (the "ID point") affects how the command is carried out. It determines which corner of the object should be notched (see graphic).

Note a basic rule for trimming: The object changes, wherever it is clicked on.

If the two lines of the "corner" are parallel, then an error message appears.

A corner made up of two individual lines can be notched using the command Notch Corner > Object - Object. All the corners in a curve or surface can be notched at the same time using Notch Corner > Complete.
