Check Objects > Find and Remove Duplicates (Trim Menu)

This command can be used to find and remove duplicates in the drawing. Duplicates are objects that are geometrically identical and possibly have the same properties.

The objects to be searched are chosen. Click on objects to choose them.

In this command's parameters, you can choose which objects shall be regarded as identical in the "Find Duplicates" Dialog.

Even if the condition "Start point and direction must be identical" is not set,
- curves,
- surfaces (also as boundary lines of hatchings, mappings, and clippings),
- markings,
- splines, and
- dimensions
are only considered to be identical if they consist of the same points / outlines in the same direction and sequence.
The computational effort to check all theoretically possible permutations completely would be incredibly high.

After the search, a dialog with the search results appears. If duplicates were found, they can now be deleted fully automatically.

From several identical objects, the "top" one is always retained, i.e. the object among them that is drawn last.
