Construction Aid Beam > On Straight Line (Construct Menu) |
www.CAD6.com |
This command creates a Construction Aid beam which runs along an extension of an existing line or on a Construction Aid line.
Any line in an existing object can be identified as a reference line, including a side of a rectangle or a circle segment leg.
After the line has been identified, a straight line which shows the extension of the identified line appears. This is the "Reference Line".
The start point of the Construction Aid beam can be entered by clicking the mouse anywhere in the drawing. A perpendicular is dropped from this position to the reference line to determine the start point of the new Construction Aid beam.
The second point on the Construction Aid beam can be entered by clicking the mouse anywhere in the drawing. A perpendicular is dropped from this position to the reference line to determine the direction of the new Construction Aid beam.
