Recently Opened Drawings (File Menu) |
www.CAD6.com |
This command calls the "Drawing List" dialog showing the recently used files list. The list contains up to 100 of the last-used drawing files. If an entry is chosen from the list, the corresponding drawing is loaded.
When loading the drawing in the current window, the current drawing (after a suitable warning) is removed from memory before loading the chosen drawing. After that, the chosen drawing is loaded and displayed. To start with, a page view is shown.
When loading the drawing in a new window, the current drawing will not be affected.
If the drawing contains instances of blocks which are not currently in memory, then an attempt will be made to load them from the relevant libraries. If a block cannot be loaded, it is shown in text form. As soon as the block becomes available the instance will be shown correctly. The same goes for Malz++Kassner CAD6's own fonts as long as no substitute font has been specified with the Annotate > Manage Fonts command.
If the drawing cannot be loaded successfully, a new drawing is started in a similar way to choosing the command File > New Drawing.
The drawing list is saved automatically and is available as soon as the application is restarted. If the first entry from the list is chosen, the last-open drawing is loaded.
