Import from > Embed Bitmaps (File Menu) |
www.CAD6.com |
This command can be used to convert specific bitmap objects, that currently reference an external bitmap, so that the referenced bitmap will instead be saved within the drawing ("embedded"). If all bitmaps are embedded, you can pass on the drawing without having to attach all separate bitmap files.
Embedding is only useful if the drawing file is to be distributed without additional bitmap files, or if the original bitmap files are unlikely to be available later. If none of these reasons apply, we recommend not working with embedded bitmaps, as they make the drawing data immensely large and unwieldy!
The bitmap objects that shall be embedded into the drawing must be chosen. Click on objects to choose them.
After choosing the objects, all chosen bitmap objects with external references will be converted so that the referenced bitmaps are embedded in the drawing. The duplicate function will have no effect during this operation!
If you want to convert bitmap objects the other way round, i.e. from embedded bitmap to external reference, use the standard command Modify > Object Properties > Edit and choose the desired external bitmap using the "Browse" button in the "Special" dialog for bitmaps.
