Backup > Setup Automatic Backup (File Menu) |
www.CAD6.com |
This command customizes the options for automatic and manual backups. This is done with the "Backup Options" dialog.
After a time interval has elapsed, the application works out whether the drawing has altered since the last save. If this is the case, the automatic backup will be executed. When saving under the current drawing's name, a dialog appears which can be used to cancel the automatic backup if it is not required on this occasion. When saving as a duplicate, the automatic backup is done without a dialog appearing.
Automatic backup only works when Malz++Kassner CAD6 is working in the foreground and no dialog is open. The elapsed time is however measured and an automatic backup is carried out at the latest when the dialog is closed or Malz++Kassner CAD6 is activated again.
If the current drawing has not been assigned to a file name when the automatic backup is executed, the filename used will be ~Autobackup~, the current path used will be the first default path for drawings (see Edit > Options > Paths).
