Export to > Scalable Vector Graphics (*.SVG) (File Menu)

www.CAD6.com

Using this command, the chosen objects can be saved to a file in Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG or compressed as SVGZ) format.

1.Choose objects

The objects to be copied must be chosen. Click on objects to choose them.

After choosing the objects, the "File Selection" dialog appears in which the file to be used can be chosen. When pressing the "Options" button in the file selection dialog, the "SVG Export Options General" dialog appears in which the output parameters can be edited.

An uncompressed SVG file has the extension *.SVG. A compressed SVG file (GZIP compression) has the extension *.SVGZ. The following descriptions are valid for both SVG export and SVGZ export.

Bitmaps of different types can be created by the SVG export filter and copied to a specified directory. The SVG file includes references (relative or absolute) to the bitmap file names. It is also possible to embed bitmaps with different compression levels in the SVG file. Thus SVG files can be used as an interchange format without the necessity of handling separate bitmap files.

All features of Windows TrueType fonts are supported. This guarantees a high rendering precision. Optionally all texts can be resolved into contours.

Usually the object's screen properties and not the output properties are used. If you want the export filter to use the object's output properties please deactivate the corresponding option in the Export Options General" dialog dialog.
