Cut (Edit Menu)

www.CAD6.com

This command copies objects to the Windows Clipboard and then deletes them from the drawing.

1.Choose objects

The objects to be cut must be chosen. Click on objects to choose them.

2.Enter reference point

The objects’ reference for placing them later can be entered by clicking the mouse at any point within the drawing.

After entering the reference point (if any), the chosen objects are copied to the clipboard, where they remain until new data is written to the clipboard, which can also be done by other Windows applications.

When choosing the Change Parameters (+ESC) command, the "Clipboard Options" dialog appears where this command's parameters can be specified.

The original objects in the drawing are deleted without a further warning. If needed, they can be restored using Undo. Undo does not affect the contents of the clipboard.

The objects are placed on the clipboard in one or two formats. The first format is the standard Malz++Kassner CAD6 (MKD) drawing format, which contains information about objects and instances. In addition, there is no loss of quality while working within Malz++Kassner CAD6. This format can only be used by Malz++Kassner CAD6 and is ignored by other applications. Additional formats are Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), Enhanced Metafile Format (EMF) and Windows Metafile Format (WMF).
