"Edit Block" Dialog |
www.CAD6.com |
How can I access information on this dialog?
Please be aware that all changes made in this dialog cannot be undone using Undo! The only way to revert those changes is to not save the affected libraries and drawings!
The following commands are available by right-clicking into the block list:
Rename Rename the block or folder. You will be prompted whether all affected instances in the current drawing shall be adapted.
Edit comment Edit the comment of the block.
Delete Delete the block or folder.
Create new folder Create a new, empty folder at the current hierarchy level.
Move to another folder Moves the block or folder to another folder within the same library. The folder in chosen in using the Choose Folders dialog. Technically, this is a renaming of one or multiple blocks, i.e. nothing will be copied. As a result, any unique IDs will remain unchanged.
Copy to buffer Copy the block or folder to the internal buffer for later pasting.
Copy to clipboard Copy the block or folder to the clipping for copying it to another drawing. When pasting, all already existing blocks with the same name will be overwritten. Only available for internal blocks.
Paste from buffer Paste the blocks and folders from the internal buffer at the current hierarchy level.
Edit attributes Edit the attributes of the block.
Edit properties of all objects Edit the properties of all objects contained within the block.
Normalize all properties The block itself and all objects contained therein will be normalized. This means that all "Transmit" and "Fix" options will be cleared completely. In addition, neither pen nor layer will be assigned. This prepares the block to be receptive for properties being transmitted by an instance.
Edit properties of block only Edit the properties of only the block itself, i.e. not of the objects contained within the block.
Manage library elements (layers, pens, etc.) Manage elements (layers, pens, line patterns, coordinate systems) stored in this library.
Set scale of library Set the default scale of this library. This scale can be used as reference for automatic scaling when inserting blocks from this library to the drawing.
Edit standard attributes Standard attributes are attributes stored within the library that can be automatically copied to all new blocks created from now on (so that they have to be defined only once).
All checked items > These functions allows you to edit all blocks marked with a check mark at once. You can only check blocks from one library at a time.
Delete Delete all checked blocks.
Move to another folder Moves all checked blocks to another folder within the same library. The folder in chosen in using the Choose Folders dialog. Technically, this is a renaming of one or multiple blocks, i.e. nothing will be copied. As a result, any unique IDs will remain unchanged.
Copy to buffer Copy all checked blocks to the internal buffer for later pasting.
Edit properties of all objects Edit the properties of all objects contained within all checked blocks.
Normalize all properties All checked blocks and all objects contained therein will be normalized. This means that all "Transmit" and "Fix" options will be cleared completely. In addition, neither pen nor layer will be assigned. This prepares the blocks to be receptive for properties being transmitted by an instance.
Edit properties of block only Edit the properties of only the checked blocks themselves, i.e. not of the objects contained within the blocks.
